We are happy to announce that a new photography expert joined the Better Moments team: Austrian fine art photographer Andreas H. Bitesnich will lead a travel and portrait photography workshop in India from 31 October – 8 November 2020.
Andreas H. Bitesnich’s work has been represented in group and solo exhibitions worldwide in renowned galleries and museums while he has also published numerous illustrated books. His distinctive style and unmistakable textures can not only be found in his famous nude photographs but also shine through in the national and international advertising campaigns he created. Furthermore, Bitesnich is known for his portraits of well-known contemporary figures such as Anthony Quinn, Jane Goodall, Bob Geldof or Reinhold Messner.
India is often depicted as a colorful country – just take the Holy Festival – but we were looking for a workshop with a different approach. Andreas H. Bitesnich shows another side of India that is very fascinating and that we found so enticing that we knew he would be the perfect expert to run our India workshop in 2020. Andrea’s photography shows many facets of India and perfectly portrait the travel & portrait photography destination it is – from Indian culture, faith, and heritage to landmarks, cities, and wildlife, as well as its everyday life and ancient monuments.
The Better Moments India workshop will take place 31 October – 8 November 2020.
The 9-day workshop will commence in India’s bustling capital New Delhi and continue to popular landmarks such as Amber Fort and the iconic Taj Mahal. The group will visit “The Blue City” of Jodhpur and travel through the scenic semi-desert around Jaipur. Via night train, the participants will travel to Varanasi, the holy city on the river Ganges, to photograph the magical ceremonies taking place on the river banks, before flying back to Delhi.
