The photographer of the month award for August 2017 goes to passionate landscape photographer Eugene Treanor from New York, who sent us a selection of spectacular photos from this summer’s Better Moments workshop in Iceland.
Better Moments CEO and founder Christian Nørgaard says about this shot:
“This image shows Eugene’s great sense of the abstract. It is easy to take stunning landscape images, but being able to zoom in and bring out the beauty in the details, textures and patterns in those landscapes – that is a remarkable skill that is visible in all the images, Eugene sent us.
Eugene Treanor is originally from Ireland, but has been living in New York for three decades. His interest in landscape photography began 20 years ago, capturing the autumn colors of Northern America. About this summer’s trip to Iceland, he says:
I have been thinking of going to Iceland for a few years now, and finally I went this year. Now I am so glad I did and cannot wait to visit it again. What’s not to like about photographing from a helicopter with no doors in it for one hour over Landmannalaugar!”
